Dennis Humphrey, PhD

Dennis Humphrey PhD is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience in human development efforts as a consultant, program director, regional manager and business owner. His career spans not-for-profit organizations, business environments and mental health and higher education arenas.

In his work as a career transition and outplacement consultant, Dennis served some of Chicagoland’s more prominent employers including: Motorola, Bosch, CNA, Met Life, Union Pacific Railroad and Gillette. His knowledge in adult education, behavioral health and human development allow Dennis to assist clients with the broader human factors that arise during workplace and career transitions. His ability to build rapport helps him develop trusting relationships that quickly move clients forward to productive action.

For 20 years Dennis has run his behavioral health counseling practice in the Chicago suburbs providing services to youth and young adult populations, couples in distress, and people seeking career/vocational assessment. Along with his counseling practice, Dennis has taught in the undergraduate and graduate programs at Trinity International University in Deerfield, IL. He enjoys giving back to his community by serving as a mentor and coach to young careerists entering the workforce.

Dennis holds a PhD from Trinity International University, an MA in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and a BA in from Roberts Wesleyan College.
