Rich McLaughlin has been married to his wife April for 25 years, and is a dad to three great daughters. With TIU Online, Rich specifically serves both as the TC/TGS Online Programs Academic Coordinator and as a Christian Ministries adjunct faculty member. In the field of Christian Ministries, he has taught courses on an introduction to Christian education, spiritual formation, small groups, ministry methods, ministry programming, teaching the Bible, children’s ministry, youth ministry, family ministry, adult ministry, and integrated field experience.
He has studied at the University of Notre Dame, Moody Theological Seminary, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and Talbot School of Theology. His PhD dissertation research is titled “Exploring the conceptual compatibility of transformative learning theory in accounts of Christian spiritual renewal at Wheaton College in 1995”.
Rich has served in the local church, with church planting efforts, as TIU Director of Student Ministries, and as a cross-cultural missionary in Japan. Rich has a passion for learning and passing along whatever he can for the good of the Lord’s kingdom.
